William J. Macak

Visitation for William J. Macak, 87, will be Thursday, Dec. 18, from 2pm – 8pm at Michaels Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.

Funeral Service will be Friday, Dec 19, at 10am at Michaels Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst.

Bill dedicated more than 40 years of his life to the railroad, where he served as a respected foreman and developed a lifelong passion for trains. When he wasn't working, he could often be found on the golf course, enjoying one of his favorite pastimes. Bill cherished the simple pleasures of life, starting each morning with his daily coffee and spending time outside, where he greeted neighbors with warmth and familiarity. He was married to his wife, Linda Rose, for over 35 years, a partnership filled with love and shared laughter. A proud Shriner, Bill was always lending a helping hand and was forever tinkering, fixing, or working on something. His steady presence, hard work, and kind spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.

Loving husband of Linda Rose; beloved father of Billy, Celia, and Tina; beloved stepfather of Veronica, Kimberly, and Tracy; cherished grandfather of 12; adored great-grandfather of 19; dear friend and neighbor to many.
