Glen Ellyn - Shelayne Lynn Larson (64), entered the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ, late in the evening on December 28, 2025, following a courageous four-and-a-half-year battle with stage four ovarian cancer. She is now fully healed, free from pain and suffering, and rejoicing in the glory of Heaven.

Shelayne lived her life anchored in her beloved life verse, 2 Timothy 1:7: "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." Her life reflected unwavering faith, joyful strength, and a deep commitment to encouraging others to walk boldly with Christ.

She was the devoted wife of 35 years to her husband, Dave; and a loving mother to their three children, Stirling (33), his wife, Mollie, and their soon-to-be-born grandson; Kirsten (31); and Ethan (27).

Born September 7, 1961, Manistee, Michigan, to Roy and Marlene Walters, Shelayne was the sister of Heather Barker (James) and Hans Walters (Ginny). A gifted pianist and educator, she graduated from Liberty University and later earned a master's degree in Gifted Education. Throughout her life and many communities, Shelayne faithfully served through music, education, and leadership, always strengthening others through her visible joy and love for Jesus.

Shelayne was a beacon of faith and grace, leaving a lasting testimony of God's power and love in the lives of all who knew her.

Luncheon immediately following the service.
