Hillard J. Schmidt

Hillard J. Schmidt, U.S. Navy Vet. He was born in Chicago Dec. 12, 1925, and passed away peacefully after a brief illness in Lisle Dec. Dec. 4, 2025.

Hillard was preceded in death by his parents, John and Blanche Schmidt; and siblings, Emil, Ernest, Henrietta (S.M. Liguoria), Lorraine, Rita, Daniel, and Odelia. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who were blessed to have known him.

Visitation Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Colonial-Wojciechowski Funeral Home, 6250 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago.

Funeral services Monday, December 15, starting with prayers at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home, proceeding to St. Elizabeth of The Trinity Church, for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
