And somehow wondered how you felt If but the same way too. I heard your voice, it spoke to me While all around was still - Your hand I took and held it tight My heart beat out a thrill. Our thoughts flowed out between us All the happy times we spent - Warm and loyal our Pledge of Love And so sincerely meant. I woke up sobbing in my thoughts And felt such awful pain - To know you will not answer When I call and say your name. But I would not trade a moment Though bittersweet it's true - My memories last forever now All tender thoughts of you. So until that time we meet again I never will be free - But may you somehow know "My Love" - Throughout eternity.
