Glenn Everett Davis Obituary

Glenn Everett Davis

Glenn Everett Davis, 75, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence in Elk Grove Village. He was surrounded by his family while watching his beloved Chicago Bears defeat the Green Bay Packers.

Glenn was the devoted husband for 51 years to the late Patricia A. Davis (nee Borlick) and the loving father of Jennifer Davis. He is also survived by his siblings, Kathleen Royal; Michael (Lisa Marie) Davis; Danny (Tatiana) Davis; Melissa (Mark) Rintz; and Shannon (Eric) Schmid; as well as his sister-in-law, Janice Swan (Dominick Mangiardi). Glenn was a cherished uncle to Christopher (Gina) Swan, Michael Swan, Ashley (Michael) Buchkoe, and Nicholette (Sebastian) Allen, and a dear great-uncle to Brody, Tyler, and Cole Swan, and Porter and Piper Buchkoe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Davis and Lorraine Burns; his sister, Susan Amann; and his in-laws, Leonard Borlick and Wanda Lovely.

Glenn graduated from Maine East High School in Park Ridge in 1968 and later attended Washburn Trade School, where he became a professional carpenter. He went on to hold various construction positions, steadily working his way up to become a superintendent overseeing multiple construction crews. In the early 1980s, Glenn and Pat founded their own successful construction and land development company. Over the next 30 years, Glenn built hundreds of quality custom homes and created numerous communities throughout the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

Glenn's love for his family and friends was steady and unwavering. Time spent together—whether traveling, hosting legendary parties, tailgating, boating, snowmobiling, racing cars, or attending concerts—meant the world to him. Some of Glenn's favorite memories were made in Aruba and on the Whitefish Chain of Lakes in Minnesota, experiences he generously shared with those he loved.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Elmhurst Road (Route 83) at Lincoln Street, Mount Prospect. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Glenn's name to Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence & Programs at 224-273-4101 or through their website at https://www.ascensionillinoisfoundation.org/give.
