Cynthia Williams

Cynthia Williams (nee Greer), 77, of Palatine, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Ascension Hospice, surrounded by her family. She was born March 5, 1948, in Vandalia, IL, to the late Mary (née Jacques) and Edward Greer.

Cindy was the loving wife of Phil and the caring mother of Tracy. She worked as a nurse practitioner at Cook County Hospital for 30 years. She enjoyed advocating for the needs of low-income families and children with disabilities. In her retirement, she dedicated herself to community service. She spent ten years as the director of the food pantry at Bethel Lutheran Church and All Saints Lutheran Church combined. Cindy was committed to helping homeless people through Journeys, The Road Home. Phil, Cindy, and Tracy enjoyed traveling together as a family and as a couple. Cindy lived a full life, and many will remember her empathetic spirit.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, daughter; sisters, Patricia, Elaine, Jackie, and brothers, Jonathan and Tim. She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Susan, and her brother, Edward.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, at Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008, from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service at 3:00 p.m.
