Bonzelle "Bonnie" Bernholdt

Bonzelle "Bonnie" Bernholdt passed quietly from this life in Arlington Heights, IL on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; sister, Elizabeth "Betsy" (Ahlenius) Elliott, and brother, Douglas Ahlenius. She is survived by her sons, Dr. David Bernholdt (Dr. Jan Musfeldt) and Scott (Carol-Lynn) Bernholdt, daughter, Kathryn (Mark) Copley; her brother, E. Richard Ahlenius; and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie is fondly remembered by many friends and family for the baked goods, cookies, breads, soups, salads, and other dishes that she would make and share.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056. A gathering for friends and family to share memories will begin at 1:00 pm and continue until the time of the service.
